Lunch and dinner are good. Staff is very friendly. Meals are not expensive. Service is fast. My only complaint is that they tend to run out of popular items pretty early in the night.
Outstanding homemade food in a casual, friendly environment. Food and desserts are like mother always made, and some are just decadent!! I couldn't love this place more!! Always bring home leftovers or purposely order extras to go.

Flies everywhere... not just a couple. There were literally swarms of them, empty tables had a bunch just crawling all over them. We lasted about five minutes after being seated and left genuinely disgusted. Non stop swatting the whole time and there wasn't even any food on the table yet. Will never return. If this is what the other reviews meant by down home country they can keep it. A bug zapper and fly paper go a long way.
Stumbled upon this place on a spontaneous road trip.. small town feel diner with friendly service. I had the chicken & cheese sub, it was AMAZING!!! A must stop if in the area :)
Been eating at the red bird for years never had a problem with my orders friendly staff and great food you should stop in on Fridays all you can eat catfish
